VFL540 in Paris as a finalist for the "Prix de l’Innovation"

In recognition of the pioneering work of WE-EF in LED street lighting, WE-EF emerged as a finalist in the category of urban furniture . The innovation prize "Prix de l’Innovation", is awarded annually during the French trade fair for councils "Salon des Maires".

Around 200 innovative products were listed as participants in the competition. The setting was the so called mayor's trade fair, a French industry event, where decision makers and managers from cities and districts meet. Only 17 products made it to the final round and were nominated as finalists in six different categories. In the category "Aménagement urbain" [Urban development] WE-EF was recognised for the development of the VFL540 LED street lighting luminaire.

For several years WE-EF has been carrying out extensive development and research work in the area of LEDs. The One LED Concept Technik OLC® with multi-layer technology at the centre, guarantees uniform illumination. The Reflection Free Contour Technik RFC® significantly increases the efficiency of the luminaires. The new VFL LED street lighting luminaire benefits from german engineering. With this product WE-EF is offering future proof and cost efficient LED street lighting. The luminaire consists only of two die cast components, and is constructed in such a way that it can also be used on existing street lighting columns without a problem. The 13 person jury of the "Prix de l’Innovation" was impressed; WE-EF was the only luminaire manufacturer to emerge as a finalist.
