Tauranga Campus

Recently, the University of Waikato opened its new Campus right in the heart of Tauranga CBD.

The University, together with the Bay of Plenty Tertiary Partnership aimed to build a campus that can accommodate close to 1,500 students each year. They wanted to create a vibrant, exciting and engaging community and industry hub providing targeted undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, together with applied research creating solutions to regional issues.

The building itself features a future-proof design with very flexible spaces so it is able to cater to changing styles of teaching and learning.

We are proud to have been selected to help bring this vision to life. In collaboration with designers and architects Jasmax, MHL worked towards providing the Tauranga Campus with an inviting, comfortable and safe environment for the student community.

WE-EF FLC230D Pole-mounted projectors, WE-EF ZFY230 bollards and Unios Pilot Handrail luminaires were used to achieve the desired outcome.

The deep-body WE-EF FLC230D luminaires are also the product of choice for the Durham Lane Upgrade that is part of Tauranga City Centre’s Streetscape upgrade.
