Eastview Reserve, Glen Innes
OVERVIEW
Eastview Reserve is a public open space in Glen Innes developed for Auckland Council. The project required pathway lighting that addressed safety while also contributing to how the reserve is experienced at night. MHL supplied exterior luminaires and poles as part of the delivery, working alongside the project design and construction team.

THE BRIEF
The lighting brief called for more than basic compliance. In addition to supporting safe use of the pedestrian path, the project sought to enhance the overall experience of moving through the reserve after dark.
THE APPROACH
MHL supplied WE‑EF VFL530 luminaires in a 3000K colour temperature, providing warm white illumination suited to a park environment. The luminaires were installed on 6 metre Hydro Aluminium ground‑planted columns. The same product set was mirrored at the adjacent Taniwha Reserve, allowing Auckland Council to achieve a consistent lighting language across both sites.
RESULTS
The completed installation supports safe evening use of the pathway and delivers a cohesive lighting outcome across two neighbouring council‑owned reserves.
